Note on this document: this is a plain-language draft reflecting how the site and checkout actually work. It is not legal advice. A few decisions below are genuinely yours to make as the business owner, not something that can be filled in generically — those are marked clearly. Have a qualified lawyer review this before relying on it as final.

1. Acceptance

By placing an order through this site, you agree to these Terms of Sale, the Research Use Disclaimer, and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not place an order.

2. What is sold

BactoCore sells pharmaceutical-grade bacteriostatic water directly, for laboratory and research use only — not for human consumption. BactoCore does not sell peptides or any compound described in the site's research index.

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction if higher, to create an account or place an order. By ordering, you confirm this is true.

4. Pricing and payment

Prices are shown in USD and may change at any time; the price charged is the price shown at checkout at the time of order. Payment is processed by a third-party payment provider (Stripe); BactoCore does not receive or store your full card details. Orders are confirmed once payment is successfully processed, or, if fully covered by store credit and/or a discount code, once the order is placed.

5. Membership and store credit

BactoCore offers an optional, one-time paid membership. On successful payment, the membership fee is credited back to your account as store credit, usable toward future orders on this site.

Store credit has no cash value and cannot be withdrawn, transferred to another account, or exchanged for cash.
Store credit is applied at your choice, at checkout, up to the value of your order.
Membership is a one-time purchase per account, not a recurring subscription, unless BactoCore states otherwise at checkout.

Decision needed: the current build does not define (a) whether the membership fee itself is refundable before its credit is spent, (b) whether unused store credit expires, or (c) whether member-only pricing/benefits can change after someone has joined. Pick a clear policy for each and have it reviewed alongside the rest of this document — these affect consumer-protection obligations in a number of jurisdictions (for example, many require a right of withdrawal within a set number of days for online purchases, including for services/memberships).

6. Discount codes

Discount codes are single-use per account or connection unless stated otherwise, have no cash value, cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated, and may be modified, restricted, or discontinued by BactoCore at any time without notice.

7. Shipping

BactoCore does not ship to every destination; restricted destinations are enforced at checkout. See Shipping & Returns for details.

8. Order acceptance and cancellation

BactoCore reserves the right to refuse, limit, or cancel any order, including for suspected fraud, pricing errors, or inability to verify age or shipping eligibility. If an order is cancelled after payment, any amount charged will be refunded to the original payment method, and any store credit applied will be restored to your account balance.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BactoCore's total liability arising from any order is limited to the amount paid for that order. BactoCore is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of its products or this site.

10. Changes to these Terms

BactoCore may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

Decision needed: an enforceable contract generally needs to name a specific governing law and a forum for disputes — "international law" alone is not a substitute for this. This draft deliberately does not name one, so it does not misrepresent a jurisdiction the business hasn't actually chosen. Work with a lawyer to select a governing law and dispute-resolution mechanism appropriate to where the business is established and who its customers are, then have this section completed before treating these Terms as final.
